Saffron Robe Not too keen on the screamo type vocals in the background but the music is superb.

bcb723 This one sat for way too long on my wishlist for me to only be first hearing now. Regardless, this was an unexpected but rewarding listen. Not your run of the mill album, the addition of acoustics, intense isolated sound effects, interspersed alt-doom vocals and spirit of nature throughout draw you deep inside these songs. And the vocal shrieks are chilling. I'm also not sure how to accurately describe the feelings the song "The Blinding Light" evoke but it's an unreal creation of music. Legit. Favorite track: Wounded Monolith.

Lovdahl, Ian hello there, favorite black metal album so far this year. depressive, exuberant, groovy, and a little bit spooooky. Favorite track: Wounded Monolith.
Herr Hastur

Herr Hastur Awesome "Post-DSBM" with arboreal acoustics + insane vocals in the vein of Lifelover, Silencer and Ghost Bath. I may as well start my own mountain wanderings now! Favorite track: Spores Of Possesion.

YomaBarr This will be just great for my mountain wanderings.
Finally. Do you feel me? MOUNTAIN WANDERINGS.

update
I'm back and this worked great because it's really unpredictable like the mountains. Including storms on tops, descents full of loose stones in the rain, ravines and caves. But also nice grassy meadows in between and that pass where you can get ice cold beer after three hours of walking uphill in full sun :) I'm talking about the album ofc.

about

One of the most powerful things about the landscape of Oregon is the columbia gorge - enveloped on both sides by two major mountains, barred from each other by a mighty river and a vast expanse of virtually overgrown wilderness. Finding solace from this landscape away from the metropolitan world, Aleynmord set out to explain the many different feelings one can experience in a self imposed isolation. With a range of vocals from a shrill cry, yells, cleans and even americana-esque whistles enshrouded by a fog of thick guitars and a walking bass, The Blinding Light is a short collection of tracks which convey this powerful emotion that can only be attempted to describe. Peaks of concentrated musicanship are then cut apart by various valeys of acoustic works resmebling Death in June nostalgia and forest worship culminating in a crescendo of domineering solos. A contrast of pain and beauty, Aleynmord makes use of every way to describe the emotional poetry of isolation in the wilderness.
