H.L. WALDGEFLÜSTER are masters of epic melancholy, their anthems remain mainly in midtempo. There is no evilness in the music despite the rough and desperate vocals. Clean vocals and the lyrical concept about forests or nature in general create a majestic atmosphere. Dreamy songs for the dark season. Check the title track of this recommendable EP! Favorite track: Unter Bronzenen Kronen.
Wisdoms End

Wisdoms End If you paint with metaphors, you can coun't me in anytime (... and in combination with this cover art!!!).
If you keep delivering musically as well, count me and my money in, because I will not hestitate to spend it.

Even tho I am not familiar with the original songs, I deeply enjoyed the covers by Waldgeflüster.
But I kinda share Lukes oppinion... I wouln't have said no to one or two songs more.
But thats human kind - there is always the wanting and longing for more.

bmurator German Black Metal. Sung in both English & German with both harsh & non vocals. Very nice vocals & music throughout & I do slightly agree with Luke & Wisdoms End. Highly recommended!!!

The Pit 07:17 video
The earth was soaked from low hanging mist ghost of the last nights storm I went to my tools and i did choose the shovel on the wall. It was packed with rust and it’s splintered handle suited me just fine. In this stage of decay and uselessness It seemed a friend of mine. I set off into the woods for a hill to die upon. for worth in a worthless world only to discover loss . On the first strike my shovels blade was blunted on stone and slate I can’t even seem to bury myself without another damn mistake. And with every shovel full another memory floated through my mind . and I’d fill this pit back up with my tears if I had any left to cry. the deeper that I dig the more that I regret I ever started digging at all. I was so low I had to dig a hole just to have some place to fall. As the rain fell down I hoped I’d drown, and rid the world of my misery. I’d be better off floating face down than people having to deal with me. For a moment I climbed, but all the roots and rocks on the walls came lose. Sent me crashing down back to the bottom of this watery grave I did choose. And with every shovel full another memory floated through my mind . and I’d fill this pit back up with my tears if I had any left to cry. the deeper that I dig the more that I regret I ever started digging at all. I was so low I had to dig a hole just to have some place to fall.

Black Flies 04:56
Black flies on the windowsill That we are, that we are, that we are to know Winter stole summer's thrill And the river's cracked and cold See, the sky is no man's land A darkened plume to stay Hope here needs a humble hand Not a fox found in your place No man is an island Oh, this I know But can't you see, oh? Or maybe you were the ocean When I was just a stone Black flies on the windowsill That we are, that we are, that we are to hold Comfort came against my will And every story must grow old Still I'll be a traveller A gypsy's reins to face But the road is wearier With that fool found in your place No man is an island Oh, this I know But can't you see, oh? Or maybe you were the ocean When I was just a stone No man is an island Oh, this I know But can't you see, oh? Or maybe you were the ocean When I was just a stone So here we are And I don't wanna beg your pardon And I don't wanna ask you why But if I was to go my own way Would I have to pass you by? And I don't wanna beg your pardon And I don't wanna ask you why But if I was to go my own way Would I have to pass you by?

about

A playing time of 30 min

In 2021 Waldgeflüster joined the highly acclaimed roster of AOP Records, which will take care of the future endeavors of the band. The year showed the release of their 6th full length record called "Dahoam", that has ranked on #49 in the official german album charts
"Dahoam" is followed now in 2023 by the new Mini-Album "Unter bronzenen Kronen". The collection of 4 autumnal songs, including 2 covers, show Waldgeflüster further perfecting their sound, to draw the listener ever deeper into their world of melancholy.

We are thrilled to unveil our latest endeavor, a heartfelt compilation of songs to accompany the embrace of Autumn. This collection, although not a full-length album, tries to capture the essence of the season when the leaves turn into shimmering hues of bronze, gold, and red. A sonic reflection of the bittersweet melancholy that seeps into our bones and hearts during this time.

We reimagining three existing songs--one of our own and two masterpieces from extraordinary artists-- and looked at them from a different angle, casting a new light upon their inherent beauty. Additionally there is a new composition, delving into the realization that our own questions, flaws, and enigmatic uncertainties endlessly circle back to us, leaving an eternal imprint upon our hearts.

We invite you to tread alongside us through the bleakness of our everlasting woods. To find solace and respite, resting your weary heads beneath the majestic crowns of bronze that adorn these trees.
